Concorde is a Bavaria 36, which the Club took delivery of in June 2003, while our new boat, Speedbird, is Bavaria 37 and due for delivery in June 2006. Both are equipped with a roller-furling headsail, the controls for which are led aft, so that they can be adjusted from the cockpit, making sailing remarkably easy. The main sails have lazy-jacks, for ease of stowage.

Concorde is 11.4 metres LOA (37' 4") and carry 67.67 square metres (720') of headsail and mainsail. Both boats are equipped with cruising chutes. That for Speedbird is a 'standard' size, and has a 'snuffer' for easy launching and recovery, while Concorde's is about 10% larger and is launched straight from its sail bag.

Concorde is fitted with a deep, lead keel, making her stiffer and more suitable for racing.

Accommodation is in three double cabins, with two single berths in the saloon. They have a large heads, with hot water shower. The galleys have a refrigerator, two burner cooker with oven and a double sink.
