Definitions

Ordinary - Any serving member of staff of British Airways plc, its subsidiary and associated companies

Ordinary Family – spouse, partner, son or daughter (aged under 24 years), of an Ordinary member

Ordinary Family Plus – spouse, partner, son or daughter (aged over 23 years), of an Ordinary member

Retired – Any retired employee of British Airways plc, its subsidiary and associated companies, in receipt of a British Airways pension

Retired Family - spouse, partner, son or daughter (aged under 24 years), of a Retired member

Retired Family Plus- spouse, partner, son or daughter (aged under 23 years), of a Retired member

Associate – Person with no direct connection to British Airways plc, its subsidiary and associated companies, joining by invitation; non-immediate family member of an Ordinary or Retired member; son or daughter of an Ordinary or Retired member (aged 24 years or over).

All applicants for Associate membership, upon acceptance, are also required to pay a non-refundable £100.00 joining fee. This does not apply to Associate Family members.

Associate Family – spouse or partner, son or daughter (aged under 24 years), of an Associate member

Junior – children of any of the above, aged eight to seventeen years, inclusive

Associate Member joining fee

SOYC subscriptions are collected on 1 April each year. The subscription fees for members joining after September of the current year are on a sliding scale. Click here
